Reply Facebook has changed again, and there are more changes coming up.
At this time (July 2013) click on “Edit Page” at the top of the page, then the “Edit Settings” option in the drop down menu.
If people need to log in, in order to see your Facebook page, then your page settings have been set with restrictions and it’s not a public page. We’re talking about Facebook Business Pages, not personal profiles.
If you’re not sure if your FB page is viewable to the general public, then : Go to Facebook, check to see if your logged in, and if so just click on the drop-down menu next to “Home” on the right hand side, scroll down and click logout.
I went ahead and changed it back, as the content is fine for any age, and checked and it does show up. Here’s a link for more info on this Many of us are hoping this is not a permanent change. It is crazy how fast they make big changes like this! I tried everything in the edit settings, still asking me to login – and went to see if big names were affected, they all are! I am sure there is something silly I have not done but havent figured it out yet. Very helpful information particularly the final part I deal with such information a lot.
Reply It is true that one can not include spaces in the URL, so Facebook .com/inthecove is the best way to set the URL for the page.
Regarding people not being able to find in in the Facebook search, that is a common issue.
Or, do you actually see your page, but it has an option to log in on top? The one on the left shows a public page, while the one on the right shows a restricted page. “Age Restriction” If you have a restriction your page will not be public.
