It feels like they're consciously trying to turn this property into a slum with how they approach making basic fixes that should be done annually, at minimum. Let you come home during the weekend, or a holiday or after office hours is closed; EVERYONE THROWS TRASH ON THE GROUND AND TRASH BAGS ON THE GROUND! I've complained and complained but they never did anything to enforce it! I even asked for a rent decrease or a discount because of the conditions I had to endure living back there. Also, the walls are so thin if you live on the bottom floor all you hear is your neighbors walking around above you all hours of the night! it's embarrassing to bring visitors to your home sometimes.
From my experience, the staff and maintenance are very friendly and professional. the gym is ok but the equipment is old, but they did just add one new treadmil. my dishwasher didnt work when i moved in, my dryer was broken, both were fixed later.
They seem to do the best they can with what they have to work with. the windows let in alot of cold air in the winter, insulation sucks.
So we just got home from a super fun (as usual) but mega cold and wet CA tour with the Blow and Mirah. For example, there was snow in Santa Cruz on the redwoods! Redwoods can only really hang with temperatures from the 40s to low 70s. It's also amazing how few buildings in CA have heat!
The main shows were in some mega big and crazy spaces, and thankfully everybody was super rad and positive.
With that said, Bayshore Properties has completely missed the mark in managing this property. during the winter my furnace went out on a saturday and they wouldnt send someone til monday.
I do not believe that the state of the property is the fault of the staff. they dont really want to help you, and i was a perfect renter. ), and how ginormous this place was I got a bit nervous, but everyone was super nice and we sounded totally MASSIVE. They wanted us to be on stage when they opened the curtain. I have to admit, when I saw the barrier in front of the stage (stagedivers? You don't realize how bad it is until you're there for a while. I've been living here 8 months and can't wait until my lease is up. The apartment appliances are falling apart and they constantly want to piece them back together instead of giving new ones. I thought some form of inspection was supposed to be done to check for things like this I am very unhappy and I cant wait to move out. I Called the office of Southfield Apartments to get information about their 2 bedroom apt/rates. first they closed the hot tub that they had after it not working for months and then i was told that they decided not to fix it, EVER, but still advertise it.The maintenance crew doesn't actually fix anything it's more like a bandage being applied so they can come back and have more work. There are much better places for the price and location. The person I spoke with said, a security deposit is free, but there is a holding/redecoration/maintenance charge of 0, that does not include a dollar blinds fee. I would think that the blinds were included in the 0. the gym is ok but the equipment is old, but they did just add one new treadmil. my dishwasher didnt work when i moved in, my dryer was broken, both were fixed later. If neighbors argue in another building you can hear it clear as day. The fitness equipment is all broken so you will still need to get a membership. they didn't cut them until work had to be don't on the third floor tenant leaking ceiling/roof. I lived here for about 9 months, and at first i loved it.
