Some of the best caves in Europe and caving for all levels, are to be found on Llangattock Escarpment, there are local companies that will guide you.
Riding trails across the Black Mountains are close at hand.
Brecon dating
Ty Cerrig Granary originally dating from the 1800s and is an excellent house for a family re-union with a very large sitting room and three bedrooms on the ground floor for those with walking difficulties.
The Granary has been lovingly built using local craftsmen and local materials - the wood for the hand-made doors is from the Douglas Fir felled from the owners land by the River Usk.
Microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and a washing machine. A very easy walk, but as Rowan Cottage is all about living the good life wellies are recommended! There is a private garden surrounded by meadows, the stone terrace, lawn and herb beds, make it perfect for sitting out on a summers evening enjoying the view of the Black Mountains.
RELAXING: Sitting/dining room with sofa and armchair, a wood burning stove, wooden dining table and chairs. PETS: A dog is very welcome, please just one, with good house manners.

The cottage is close to the market town of Abergavenny with its Norman castle, shops and famous annual Food Festival.
Nearby attractions include Crickhowell with lovely independent shops and village pubs.
The cottage is just wonderful, set in a field surrounded by sheep and away from roads and other houses.
